Abstract: A noise cancellation system is described for use in environments where high pitch noise can be a source of discomfort or anxiety, such as in dental surgeries. The system, which may be worn not just by patients but also by dentists and other care providers in the vicinity, reduces the noise created by the dentist's drill to more comfortable levels by virtue of an electronics control module performing high-speed signal processing whereby noise cancelling signals are emitted from the integral speaker in each earpiece.
