Abstract: The article examines the political and strategic thinking in two key Marxist figures of the interwar period, Leon Trotsky and Antonio Gramsci. For explores how these two intellectuals have formulated their theories of permanent revolution and passive revolution. Finally, proposes questions to understand how these theories were interpreted in the Marxist tradition throughout the twentieth century and their actual relevance.
